It means that we arrange this element so that the slopes are oriented east and west and then mount the panels on them in a "tent" shape.
The east-west mounting system is used very often to increase the PV energy production time. In the case of setting the panel directly in front of the sun, we have a certain time when the panels are most efficient in their work. In the case of an east-west installation we can increase this efficiency up to 20%. The reason for this is that the south installation has its peak in the midday hours and produces a lot of energy, but for a short period. The second type of installation has a lower peak, but is more efficient.
